Wealthy Americans have good hopes for their stocks this 2006. However, a survey has showed that they are worried about the prospects for real estate.
Based on the 2006 U.S. Trust Survey of Affluent Americans, 9 out of 1o affluent portfolio holders said they expect their portfolios to rise in 2006. The average also shows that they are anticipating for an 8% return from the U.S. stocks. The survey also showed that faith in the real estate market was weak. Only 48% said they expect real estate's value to increase in the next year, down from 72% who thought it would in last year's survey. There were 33% of respondents who expect real estate values to decline over the next year. That number is up from 14% who thought that last year. The survey was conducted by conducting a poll on Americans with annual adjusted gross income of more than $300,000 or net worth greater than $5.9 million. Concerns about the economic future of the next generation topped the worries of the wealthy. It showed that 83% of respondents listed this as their greatest concern, up 2% points from the previous year. By M. Sese http://realestatepress.org |
