In 2005, Bradenton made news as it led the country in increasing home costs while sales remained strong. However, the figures released by the Florida Association of Realtors today showed the opposite.
April sales dropped 44% from what they were in 2005 and rising home costs slowed to just 2%. The median home price was $302,100, still much steeper than the statewide median of $249,700. Real estate agents in the area have pointed that the market is returning to a level of normalcy after a frenzied period of sales. However, Bradenton-Sarasota ranked second in the number of sales drop offs. Only Naples saw a larger drop in sales. By M. Sese http://realestatepress.org |
