Oliver Hooper, 34, was deliberated by the jury for three hours before being convicted. Hooper was charged for five counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault, two counts of criminal threatening and one count of kidnapping together with several misdemeanors.
Prosecutors said that the traveling salesman forced his way inside a house and raped a woman at knifepoint. He faked interest in buying the home of the victim on July 26.
Within an hour of the incident, prosecutors said that Hooper went to two other homes in Dover. It was less than a mile from the first victim's home. He was arrested on August 4 after a 10-day manhunt.
The police and prosecutors say that Hooper went around other homes in Southern New Hampshire, Northeastern Massachusetts and Maine pretending he was a potential homebuyer while looking for more victims.
