Three months ago, Budge Huskey was appointed Florida president and chief operating officer of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate.
The nation's largest residential real estate company, the 47-year-old Huskey arguably has one of the top jobs in the industry considering that Florida is one of the top three markets for Coldwell Bankers. He manages 7,200 sales associates in Florida. Technically, the son is now the father's boss, but Everett Huskey takes great pride in the fact that he taught Budge "everything" he knows about real estate. The man started by learning how to empty the trash cans in the office after school and after he learned how to drive, he went around putting up for-sale signs. The Budge Huskey oversees 172 offices in regions that Coldwell labels Broward, Central Florida, Miami-Dade, Northwest Florida, Palm Beach, Sarasota Bay, Southwest Florida and Tampa Bay. Since joining NRT, Coldwell Banker's corporate parent, in August 1997, Huskey has played an increasingly key role in Coldwell Banker's operations. Huskey has been actively involved in realty organizations throughout his career. Budge was a family name that was incorporated into Mead's first name. By M. Sese http://realestatepress.org |
